All ZK2 XL knives are 1/4" 1095 heat treated by the experts at Peter's Heat Treating. ZK2 offers the Khopper, Destroyer and Brain Breacher lines.

Brain Breacher

Heat treated to 55rc to allow prying capability. The Brain Breachers are made as serious portable breaching tools. Every first responder should have one strapped on their gear.
If you are serious about being prepared for possible catastrophes or emergencies, you need serious tools for serious situations.

Limited steel is removed from the handle area to provide strength and weight to assist in designed capabilities as small portable breaching tools.

ZK2 is a small business that makes knives and tools by hand. This is very time consuming, and can make customers wait. In the past ZK2 had a two year wait. We can no longer make our customers wait this long for their knives.
To make more knives available, still handmade, ZK2 will make knives in batches and release various models a few times a year. This will also allow us to keep prices as low as we can while not sacrificing quality.

Knives will be posted in the available Zombie Killers page as they are finished.

ZK2 will do custom orders upon request, however we must charge a small percentage more than normal. A 50% deposit is also required. Time of completion will vary.

About Us

ZK2 is a small business located in Grand Rapids Michigan. The owner, Jason VerVeer, has been hand making knives as a hobby for many years. He started by making knives out of old worn out files and heat treating in a coal forge. Many were given away as gifts to friends ,family and people serving in the military.
After many medical problems and no longer able to return to the security field Jason decided to make knives full time. In 2013 he officially started Zombie Killer Kutlery LLC.

Knives are made with basic tools all by hand at ZK2. For more precise heat treating and tempering we send our blades out to be heat treated by Peter's heat treating. Peter's is known as the best in the business for treating oil quenched steel. While there the knives undergo a cryogenic treatment to even out any stress in the steel. Peter's also does our new black oxide coating which we are very excited about. A great way to protect the steel and dull the shine of a blade without adding a synthetic coating over the steel.

ZK2 is built on a philosophy of personal responsibility for one's own safety. Jason was paid to protect others for almost 20 years. He worked many dangerous security jobs where violent physical encounters were the norm. This guided him toward more realistic training in the martial arts. He worked out sometimes twice daily refining his fighting skills. He also has many years training in firearms and tactics. Over the years he developed a training regiment based on performance and skill enhancement. He now trains others in the skills he acquired from his years of intense training.
No longer in the private security field, Jason builds tools to give everyone a fighting chance. Zombie Killer Kutlery strives to design and build cost effective handmade hardcore customs!
